April 8, 2008Here I am at i.ph.
I’m not a techie and usually just go with the flow with blogs. I started out at Blogspot, then Bloggerbeta (not that I noticed any differences) , smattered with some Multiply, toying with Facebook (because I can’t find the blogging option there for some reason), and now I have finally found this platform.
For one thing, the editing function makes fixing the lay-out of my blog a lot easier than with the other platforms.
So here I am, Ozy Go, in random blurbs
-incoming senior Communication Major at the Ateneo de Manila University
-wants to get into the advertising industry
-also dabbles in theater
-loves the color blue
-watches his laptop (Tamuneneng until he comes up with a better name) instead of TV. Currently viewing: Frasier, Dirty Sexy Money, Arrested Development, How I Met Your Mother, Naruto, Breaking Bad. Waiting on Grey’s Anatomy and Lost
-movie-goer
-wants to teach after retiring (revenge against teachers through transference, brilliant! The vicious cycle never ends!)
-gamer
-hates Heroes but watches every episode of it.
-listens to jazz, house, and bossa
-reads whatever can be read
First day of work
I’m here at dotPH to complete my OJT as part of a requirement in my degree at Communications.
It’s been an interesting day. But let’s start from the beginning.
I’m a Manila boy (I live near Chinatown) and the office is somewhere in Ortigas, which is quite a big place. My experiences in that area include Magic tournaments, rehearsals, dropping by UA&P, and malling. I’m not really familiar with the streets, much less the buildings. Either way I get directions and work my way from home to Ortigas.
I commute, because driving all the way from my house to Ortigas would kill my wallet. Bus rides are always interesting here in the Philippines. If you’re in for a long ride and forgot to bring your phone/mp3 player/book then you can always look at the works of the mini Monets and Pinoy Picassos.
Case in point:
FTW
In case you can’t read it since my phone’s camera isn’t that high-tech it says, "I hate vadalism but I love to published my name!!"
Stuff like that wake you up in the morning. COFFEE? Bah, humor’s the way to go!
Anyway I rush to the office and experience the first of many signs of "employment."
Elevator.
Traffic.
There was a crowd forming at the elevator lobby a few minutes before nine. And the people just kept pouring in. That is not a way to start the morning. And thus I take the lesson "the early bird catches the worm" to heart and vow to show up earlier for work (Pilosopo as I am, I also believe that the late bird catches the late worm.)
The work’s pretty light, for now, but very interesting!
I’m having a productive summer! XD
’til the next post.
*I need to go shopping for clothes!
