Fire Drill… at the 27th Floor

So there I was typing away at my laptop when my buddy tells me "Oi fire drill!" and proceeds to run to the bathroom… to hide.

Jokes aside we trudge our way to the elevator lobby… and move away to the staircase where we see that fateful number "27." And we all went down with "oh crap" thought balloons. I’m sorry I accidentally deleted the picture I took of the staircases we climbed. Eventually while we made it to a few flights down, someone tossed a ciggy butt that he found to the space where you can poke your head into to look how far you have to go. A few more flights down we start talking about what if those placeholder numbers loop back to "27." Twilight Zone.

And this was what was downstairs.

And finally the show

 

After all was said and done we realized that getting back to the office would prove to be a problem considering the large amount of people who’ll be crowding the elevators.

So we head over to McDonald’s, grab a bite to eat, effectively gaining back whatever calories we burned through the whole ordeal.

Work resumes.

at least you got a long good break out of it :) .

luckily i got caught up in an office fire drill only once (and that was one too many for me). i couldn’t wait for it to be over because it was soooo hot and we couldn’t hear what the firefighter was saying. still, we had a nice lengthy break because of that :)

haha! i can sympathize. we recently had one here in pbcom wherein we had to climb down from the 33rd floor. an ordeal, to be sure. i felt it days after it was over. :-|

Is your bldg Jollibee Plaza at Emerald Ave. Ortigas?

I worked for a company there before and there I experienced climbing down from the 20th floor due to Metro-wide power outage which lasted for two hours.

Haay kapagod! Ang dilim pa naman sa stairs!

But since I regularly commute, I’m pretty ok with the experience unlike some of my co-workers who felt sore the next day.
