June 22, 2008An open letter to my belly.
Dear Belly,
Over the years you have been manageable. I mean my waistline was a 26 at some point in time. And now I go shopping for jeans and find out I can barely squeeze into a 32. I’m a 34 now. It’s heartbreaking.
I’m not much into beer. I know I’ve always had a healthy appetite but I never expected you to grow this much. I can probably blame it on OJT. I just sat there in my cube most of the time anyway, then ate when I was hungry. Then ate when my co-intern was hungry. Then ate when my co-workers were hungry. Then ate when my boss brought something he bought at the store downstairs. Most of the time junk food. Ok fine, ALL OF THE TIME junk food.
I realize that this is my fault. For being such a slob and not exercising. But now I’m living in Kaitpunan, I can go jogging inside Ateneo anytime that I want. So I just wanted you to know that your days are numbered.
In sum: You’re going down!
Rest in pieces.

Posted by Ade at June 24, 2008, 1:00 pmHaha! I knew it! I’m not the only one with a bulging tummy. I’m currently on a diet, i.e., eating cereals or oats with fruits for dinner. Might help.
LOL. I’ve told my belly exactly these many times before. But the belly always prevail. Reason being I’m so lazy.
